PRAKRUTI: MIYAWAKI FOREST - A Return Gift to Nature

Miyawaki Technique for Building Green India

PRAKRUTI is an initiative by DEV Foundation to develop MIYAWAKI Forests - a technique pioneered by Japanese Botanist Dr. Akira Miyawaki. This technique helps build dense, native forests in a short time. In the MIYAWAKI Forest, 03 trees grow in 01 Sq Mt place, which is ten times faster compared to general forests that take many years to develop. By implementing the MIYAWAKI Forest Project, our organization contributes towards the UNITED NATIONS’ “ECOSYSTEM RESTORATION” Program and also helps achieve Carbon Footprint reduction, with an average of 20 Kgs. CO2 absorbed per tree per year.

Partnership with Vadodara Municipal Seva Sadan (VMSS)

We are proud to collaborate with Vadodara Municipal Seva Sadan (VMSS) in developing the MIYAWAKI Forest in Vadodara. We have successfully created an Urban Forest in association with VMSS, and now VMSS wishes to extend this effort by developing more Urban Forests covering an area of 01 Lakh Sq Ft or more in Vadodara.
